Different day, same old story

Well I am STILL looking for work. On a positive note to that, I signed up with Personel Resources here in Dothan, so I should hear back from them soon on job listings that they can set me interviews up with. Jody and I are still working on the book. We are finishing up the brainstorming and getting the details finished up this weekend so we can start actually writing the story itself in the next week or so. We are planning on having a New Years party here at the house so if anyone would like to come just let me know before hand. I'm guess Brannon you are still thinking about coming down? Perhaps your presence will get some others to come down to see us here. Anyway, that's all I really got to say. Somebody give me a call or IM sometime cause it's lonely down here some days.

Creating a world

Jody and my book is coming along nicely. We have alot of ideas allready well thought out as far as background for the story and a general setup for the plot. We are trying to do something different in the fantasy genere. Unique is the key word for this little project. We are working on filling in all the details now, like the characters backgrounds, the world itself, the societys incountered, creatures that inhabit the lands. Basically building the world from the ground up. We are taking a very Tolkienian way of doing this. We started with talking about the world and from that we came up with our main characters and the plot has been forming. This is going to take a long time to write but I think it will be very cool when it's all said and done.

I don't really have anything else to write about. I'm working on getting a job through a temp service in Dothan and I am going to see about what I need to do to start being a substitute teacher as well. I'm considering going to get my teaching degree but I want to see first if that is really something I want to do and I figure the subbing will be a good place to start and test the waters. No woman in my life right now, but what else is new. I've never been very good in that department. My lucks bound to change sooner or later so I'm not going to worry about that too much for now. I really need something to read to kill the downtime I have right now. I'm heading to my grandparents next week for Thanksgiving. Its about the only time during the year the family gets to see everyone. Oh but this weekend dad is coming down on Saturday to watch the Alabama/Auburn game on the big screen so that should be fun. I've been cleaning the house (scary I know) the last 2 days getting ready. Speaking of people visiting me, some more of my friends should come down sometime, especially if you haven't seen the house yet! (eyes everyone)

What goes up must come down

So I got a job 2 weeks ago working at Troy University as the Admin to the Dean of Students in the International Programs department. I found that the price of commuting every day was going to be more than I thought, and taking about a 1/4 of my monthly income which was already not going to be alot so I quit this week, and so I am once again looking for work, this time IN Dothan. To say this has been a shitty week would be a slight understatement. But as they say, I have no where to go but up cause that's the only place you can go when you have hit rock bottom. I really need to do some soul searching and figure out what it is that would make me happy with my life. As far as work goes, I have no clue where to start because I can't think of anything that I would love to do. My love life is no better, in fact it is non existant. One of these days I'm going to accidently stumble across the answers to the questions I keep asking about my life. Until then I guess I'll just have to do the best with what I've got. Blarg
