Half-way through the break

I've had a nice relaxing break so far. I went home Sunday morning and stayed till Tuesday. My mom came into town since it was my birthday this past week so the family took me out to dinner and got me my present, which was a nice 17" Flatscreen Monitor for my computer. While we were out I used my Best Buy gift card and put it towards a new video card, a Radion 9250 256mb PCI card. It's a whole new ball game now lol.
Last night I went with Michael to gets some dinner and then we ended up going to his moms to watch a movie just staying over there. Today we played a 1500 point Orc&Goblins vs Empire game at Visions which was close, I think we decided it was a draw or a slight victory for Michael. I picked up a unit of River Trolls to add to my army so now I have more things to build and paint. Now just to find the time to do that.
Tomorrow and Friday I have to meet Kedric for a couple hours at work but other than that I have no other plans. I had thought about doing a cookout but no one is in town so I'll just wait for another time to do it. I'm almost done with the Paranoia rulebook so we should be able to start a game of that sooner or later. I had wanted to reach level 55 in World of Warcraft by the end of Spring break but I don't know if I will reach that goal. I only just tonight reached 53, so it's not out of the question but just not likely either.
I still haven't been able to find more work, although I will admit that I haven't done any hardcore searching in a couple weeks. Still no dates, although there is one girl I would like to ask out but I don't know her that well, just causually, and I've been told we wouldn't make a good match. There is also another but she is unfortunately spoken for, but that's cool. I'm not rolling in the cash anyway so dating would be rough on me, or my bank account at least. I seem to be ok with this at the moment, although I'm sure that will change anytime. I go through times where I'm ok with being single cause I'm busy and have no time even for myself much less someone else and then there are times I can't stand being alone. Oh well. it can't last forever, and as Matty always said, "When it rains it pours, and when there is a drought it's really dry." Or something like that. You get the meaning.

rambling of a mad man

So I go to see the new trailer for Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of theSith and I have to say that I'm really excited. Also the news this week that George Lucas thinks there is no way it will get anything but PG-13 for a rating gives me hope that this will be the dark emotional tradgey that it was meant to be.

Next week is a busy week. The 16th is my birthday, followed by St Patriks day on the 17th and then Gamesday Atlanta on Saturday. After that I don't have any concrete plans for Spring break other than going home for a day or so when my mom comes to visit. So if anyone wants to do anything just let me know. I should have my Naruto dvd's in so a marathon of sorts is in order, as well as a dorky Lord of the Rings-a-thon or Star Wars-a-thon. Booze as always is optional.

Down with the sickness

My allergies and sinuses are going in over drive this morning. The day has barely begun and I already want to just give up and quit. Sigh. Maybe I can get them at work to let me go after I get my inventory taken. I still want to go out tonight so some rest will do me good and maybe settle the crappiness in my stomach. Blarg

I am the bored

Like the title says, I'm bored. I don't really have anything of substance to post about but I felt the need to write something so here I am. I worked alot this week, and got paided. I had today and will have tomorrow off of work. Kedric and I are spliting the weekend shifts so that won't be bad at all. Lets see, Wedensday night I went to Sinclairs with Cathy, Amanda and Jacob for food and drinks. That was fun. That's two weeks in a row at least me and Cathy have done that, since Amanda didn't come the first time because of lack of money, so maybe it could turn into a weekly thing? That would be nice. I played Michael in a 1000pt game of Orcs vs Nurgle Chaos and I was triumphant in a rare change of pace. I finally finished all my novels that I got for Christmas last night. The last book I have to read is the Lord of the Rings RPG core book. Looks like I will be needing to make a run to the bookstore in a week or two to pick up some more books to keep me busy. I hit level 50 tonight in World of Warcraft, the second person in the guild to do so. I also got some promising news on the job front for at the very least part-time work with the possibility of it being full-time if not in the begining then down the road. I guess that is all.
